The Arundel and Brighton Charismatic Diocesan Service of Communion (CDSC) team promote the vision for CHARIS (the Catholic Charismatic Renewal International Service), which is the revitalisation and renewal of the church in order to evangelise the culture, within and across the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton. CHARIS is was established by the Holy See, through the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life and is endowed with public juridic personality.
Our aim is to bring together the various manifestations of the renewal across A&B, promote the grace of the baptism in the Holy Spirit, promote Christian unity, and serve the poor and needy. All four being at the service of evangelisation, and in which we will endeavour to include the youth of the Diocese.

The Promise of the Father
The Promise of the Father is a season of teaching, prayer and formation which initially led to Pentecost 2024 but is being hosted again in Eastertide 2026 in Redhill.
It is a life in the spirit seminar focussing on the coming and the works of the Holy Spirit on us, the body of Christ. The Holy Spirit is our free gift from God and this course is to supercharge understanding and faith so that as loving children we can unleash the power of the Holy Spirit and respond to our call.
You can find all supporting content and videos of the excellent talks from 2024 on the The Promise of the Father course homepage.
You can also find out more on the 2026 course and register here: The Promise of the Father 2026
Our YouTube Channel includes many recordings and excellent talks given at our events and also testimonies from the many across our Diocese who the Holy Spirit has deeply inspired, giving them all a deeper relationship with the person of Jesus.
Arundel and Brighton Pastoral Plan "The Word Who is Life" Prayer
Lord, The Word who is Life.
May all the people of our Diocese
grow in openness
to the power of the Holy Spirit,
so that through a growth in understanding
and courage,
and truly open to your call,
we may bear powerful witness
to all around us,
for you are Lord for ever and ever,
Amen

CHARIS
Charismatic Renewal International Service (CHARIS) was created following an explicit request by Pope Francis to provide the Charismatic Renewal with one unified service. CHARIS has an International and Regional structure and in England and Wales we have a Diocesan structure of which our CDSC team is part.
You can find out more on CHARIS International here.
The National CHARIS England and Wales website is here.
Prayer Ministry
An aspiration of the CDSC is to establish well trained Prayer Ministry teams who are equipped for the service to offer prayer ministry in the moderated parishes across A&B Diocese. Content to support appropriate growth of Prayer Ministry to support A&B Diocese is starting to take shape on our dedicated Prayer Ministry page.
